US-Poland Trade Is Steadily Growing

Former United States Navy officer Ernest Jacquet earned an MBA in finance from Stanford University. A practicing private equity professional, Ernest Jacquet is the managing partner of Freedom Capital Partners, a private investment company that acquired Polonez Parcel Service in 2017.

Polonez Parcel Service is the largest shipping company specializing in shipments between the United States to Poland. In business for more than 30 years, Polonez Parcel Service facilitates parcel and vehicle shipments between the two countries and rents shipping containers to support additional trade. Going forward, the company hopes to capitalize on increasing trade between the two countries.

US-Poland trade has been increasing steadily since 2013. In 2018, the US exported about $5.4 billion in goods to Poland and imported $8 billion in goods. This was an increase from $4.5 billion in exports and $7.1 billion in imports in 2017.

A similar growth trend is noticeable in 2019. In February, Poland was the 36th largest trading partner of the United States. Top US exports to Poland that month comprised civilian aircraft parts, petroleum gases, oil, plumbing equipment, and motor vehicle parts. Top imports from Poland that month were aircraft engines, motor vehicle parts, furniture, pork meat, and orthopedic appliances and prosthetics.
